T-Mobile is working to connect 10Million students with free internet access.

T-Mobile’s Project 10Million is a bold initiative to close the digital divide by offering free internet access to millions of underserved K–12 students. Approved families receive a free mobile hotspot and 200 GB of data per year for five years, with no fees or annual re-certifications.

The program isn’t just about connectivity—it’s about opportunity. During the COVID pandemic and beyond, many students were left offline when access at home was unreliable or nonexistent. Project 10Million helps change that, enabling students to complete assignments, attend remote classes, and stay with their peers academically and socially.

To qualify, families must show participation in programs like the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), SNAP, Medicaid, or similar. The goal is to reach students who need it most, regardless of whether their family is already a T-Mobile customer.

For afterschool programs, Project 10Million is a resource we can partner around. It helps our students stay connected beyond program hours, supports homework pipelines, and strengthens equity in learning. Let’s help spread the word—share the link, assist families with enrollment, and ensure no student is held back by lack of connectivity.
